O’Conner’s Beef & Ale House
O’Connor’s Beef ‘n’ Ale House, 708 Mountain Boulevard, opened in 1971 and was demolished in December 2005.
From “While this building’s original date is unknown, in the 1800s it was the site of a hotel and steakhouse. On a stagecoach route linking New York and historic Morristown, the hotel was a favorite stop for period entertainers, while the restaurant was famous for its underground mushroom caverns.” (from now defunct web site www.oconnorsbeef.com).
