Swim club at Watchung Lake
Dear Friend:
We believe, that as an old patron of Watchung Lake, you will be pleased to learn the Lake will re-open on Saturday, May 29th, for the summer season.
We also enclose a pass, good until Tuesday, June 15th, for two free admissions which we hope you will use as soon as possible and renew an old acquaintance.
In addition to all the facilities of Watchung Lake with which you are already familiar, such as the white sand beach, flood lights for night bathing, water sides, free parking area, free seats for spectators, etc., the Lake Management, sticking to its policy of guaranteeing the purity of its water, has during the past winter spent several thousands of dollars for the installation of the most modern and effective mechanical purification system known at the present time, which is designed to provide water of drinking water standards in the bathing area. In plain language, regardless of the number of bathers, and without the disagreeable taste or odor of bathing pool waters, you have guaranteed cleanliness and purity combined with the freedom and healthfulness of a large lake.
The schedule of admissions for the season will be as follows:
Adults 40c on Weekdays and Saturdays, and 75c--Sundays and Holidays. Children under 12 years of age 15c on Weekdays and Saturdays, and 25c on Sundays and Holidays.
For those who wish to bathe at the Lake throughout the Summer we offer a special reduced rate season ticket at $7.50 for adults and $2.50 for children.
